To my Best friend :)

 

 To the friend I have, I cherish, I adore but I can never tell. To the one who barely knows how much he means to me. Thank you for helping me in times I was helpless, hurt and broken. For looking at my face and telling me I’m ugly, but every time I broke down for telling me I’m worth more. To all the eight hundred calls we make and bicker and in that bickering we let go off so much pain. I love you more than myself right now and I will love you forever.  I want to see you grow and laugh with me forever. To the child in you, please don’t die until we are eighty, so we can laugh at all our wrong choices together. 



I hope in life and after, for you to return in mine to make it a little better. To the understanding in us, I hope we can snap back at each other for the rest of our miserable lives. If I could take anything with me through to the next life, I’ll take your dreams. I’ll take the bickering and the snide comments we share, to remind me I’m still a loser. I wish I could tell you before that I’m here always, behind you, praying for you but I'll tell you today you mean the world to me. To the planets that aligned for us to meet and stay, thank you. Forever grateful to the gods for finding me my wing man, my parent, my child, my best friend, my life in you. To many years of patience and acceptance. To life and to your invaluable friendship.

At 22, I didn't think I'd be 23 and then I was. At 23, I didn't think I'd be 24 and then I turned 24. At 24 now, I think I'll most definitely not be 25. Journal entry 2025

TW- Suicide, anxiety, mental health. A few months ago, I rang up my mother crying, unaware of what that conversation would open up for me. While we were talking, she casually remarked how she had never known me to have cried a lot growing up. A simple observation that didn't seem to strike me for the few seconds and then it did. My mother was unaware of how easily or often I cried growing up. And that opened a Pandora's box of unpleasant memories. It struck me that I had cried almost every day for as long as my memory stood correct and that I had mostly cried before bedtime or after waking up. This meant two things, my immediate family did not always know of the crying and that it was not being triggered by an active element.
